Connor is a Scottish pianist based in Dublin. He took a masters at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, after graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC), where he was awarded both Piano Department prizes for solo performance, and the Delia Hall and Edward Brooks prizes for piano accompaniment.

Connor performs regularly in venues throughout Ireland and further afield, most recently in Achill for the Heinrich Böll Association, Limerick (St Mary’s Cathedral), Dublin (Sandford Parish), and previously for the Ulverston International Music Festival 2019, and the Birmingham International Chamber Music Festival 2018.

He returns to perform again with Bella Musica for the concert on 2nd November, accompanying soloists John Rownan and Bláthnaid Nicholson.

Bella Musica is proud to present award-winning pianist Didzis Kalniņš who will accompany the Bloomsday Recital on Saturday 15th June 2024.  Didzis is originally from Latvia but moved to Dublin in 2016 where he has since completed a Doctorate in Music at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He now works as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher.

Didzis regularly performs at renowned venues such as the National Concert Hall, Christ Church Cathedral Dublin, The National Gallery, and The Mansion House amongst others. Didzis has also given recitals for audiences internationally in countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Latvia, Estonia and Brazil.

The next Bella Musica recital, on Sunday 19th May at 5pm, will welcome Katerina Speranskaya as piano accompanist.  Katerina graduated from TUD with a Masters Degree in Piano Performance (Accompaniment) in 2017, and since then she’s been getting involved in a wide range of creative projects. Her past projects include a chamber music performance at the National Concert Hall, a number of performances at the German Embassy (including an event attended by President Michael D. Higgins), being the piano accompanist for International Conductors School in Limerick and playing trad music at the Dock Theatre in Carrick On Shannon.

Katerina has been involved in the ‘Opera Workshop’ opera productions in Limerick, played for the Junk Ensemble theatre/dance show as a part of the Dublin Theatre Festival, and recorded music for a Fishamble Theatre show. Lately she has been enjoying getting involved in DMDS and KIMS show productions, playing keyboards for ‘Made in Dagenham’, ‘Young Frankenstein’, ‘The Wedding Singer’ and ‘Chess’ with them.

Katerina has won various prizes in the Feis Ceoil music competitions, as well as other national classical music competitions, and has participated in international piano competitions. She also holds an Associate Degree in cello performance from Trinity College London. Her cello playing is featured on the new Thomas Walsh CD ‘Eva’s Tree’. Katerina also has a keen interest in software and has secured funding with Ericsson to do a Masters Degree in Software Engineering in TUS, starting in September.
