Older generations generally are the ones which appreciate classical and traditional music more than younger, and yet these generations are more likely to stay at home alone rather than to go out to concerts. Bella Musica is partnering with Friends of the Elderly Ireland to bring a group of older people to our concert on Saturday 6th May with the Rock Me Amadeus choir and soloists John Rownan (tenor) and Iris Fiona Nikolaou (mezzo-soprano).
Bella Musica is donating tickets and also allowing other attendees to buy tickets to support the charity and bring even more older people to this concert.
Friends of the Elderly is an Irish, non-profit, volunteer-based organisation committed to relieving social isolation and loneliness among the elderly through friendship and companionship. They organise outings, arranging buses to bring older people to/from their homes and ensure a great night out.
